 Parque Nacional y Reserva de Biosfera
DESCRIPCIÓN:
 El parque Nacional Yasuní es el área protegida más grande del Ecuador continental. Con 982.000 hectáreas de bosque húmedo tropical.Dentro de su territorio se encuentran 5 tipos diferentes de vegetación, unas 500 especies de aves, 173 de mamíferos, 62 especies de serpientes y 100 de anfibios. Posee varios cuerpos de aguas entre ellos las lagunas de: Añango, Garza cocha y Jatuncocha, ríos como el Yasuní, Tivacuno, Tiputini y otros, por lo que la fauna acuática de peces, aves, mamíferos y reptiles asociados a los cuerpos de agua es muy diversa. Por su gran diversidad, ecosistemas y hábitat, ha sido declarado por la UNESCO como Reserva de la Biosfera. En la actualidad, regiones próximas al Río Napo son habitadas por indígenas de las etnias Wuaorani y Kichwa, sobre la vía Pompeya-Iro.

Yasunì National Park
The Yasuní National Park is the area protected bigger of the continental Ecuador. With 982,000 hectares of humid tropical forest. 5 different kind of vegetation meet within his territory, Some 500 birds's sorts, 173 of mammals, 62 snakes' sorts and 100 of amphibians.
