DESCRIPCIÓN:
Laguna natural dentro del Parque Nacional Yasuní rodeada de bosque siempre verde de tierras bajas inundable por aguas negras con pocos sedimentos y muchos nutrientes, conformando el hábitat para una buena diversidad de fauna principalmente de aves, reptiles y peces. La laguna de Añango esta catalogada como uno de los sitios de alta biodiversidad dentro del Parque Nacional Yasuní. Posee paisaje amazónico lacustre poco alterado, rodeado de vegetación primaria de pantanos. Las actividades turísticas están administradas por miembros de la comuna quichua de Añango y organizados en la empresa Napo Willdlife Center.
En la laguna de Añango se desarrollan actividades de ecoturismo, encaminadas a la observación de la biodiversidad, aspectos ecológicos, contemplación del paisaje, caminatas y viajes en canoa por la laguna y río Añango. Se desarrollan además actividades de investigación de la flora y fauna nativa, del Parque Nacional Yasuní, como herramienta básica de la interpretación ambiental y asesoría en el manejo sustentable del bosque a los miembros de la Comuna de Añango, quienes están involucrados en el manejo de la laguna y de la hostería. La laguna tiene facilidades de hospedaje, navegación, senderos peatonales y torre de observación del paisaje amazónico.
Añango Lagoon
Natural lagoon inside the National Park Yasuní, surrounded with forest always green of low lands inundable for black waters with few sediments and many nutrients, shaping the habitat for a good diversity of fauna principally of birds, reptiles and fish. The lagoon of this Añango catalogued as one of the sites of high biodiversity inside the National Park Yasuní. It possesses Amazonian lacustrine slightly upset landscape surrounded with primary vegetation of marshes. The tourist activities are administered by members of Añango's Quechua commune and organized in the company Napo Willdlife Center.
In Añango's lagoon there develop activities of ecotourism, directed to the observation of the biodiversity, ecological aspects, contemplation of the landscape, treks and trips in canoe for the lagoon and river Añango. There develop in addition activities of investigation of the flora and native fauna, of the National Park Yasuní, as basic tool of the environmental interpretation and advising in the sustainable managing of the forest to the members of Añango's Commune, who are involved in the managing of the lagoon and of the inn. The lagoon has facilities of accommodations, navigation, pedestrian paths and tower of observation of the Amazonian landscape.
